(Update: Guys Metallica india tour 2011 tickets are up for sale. Visit http://www.ticketgenie.in/ and book your tickets)

It’s almost June, just four months to Metallica concert in India and they still don’t have the tickets on sale. Am checking the ticketgenie website as well as the DNA networks website everyday and what do I get ‘Metallica Concert in India, coming soon’. I know it’s a bit early but I don’t want to take any risk with the Metallica concert in Delhi. There are even times when I feel that the DNA Networks might be playing tricks on us like the last year’s “Rock in India’, where Backstreet Boys headlined. You never know, the DNA guys must have lost their mind, because who the hell let Backstreet boys headline ‘Rock in India’, the same festival where Iron Maiden and Megadeth headlined. I sincerely hope that the DNA guys are not playing any tricks o n Metallica playing in India. The chances of the DNA guys bluffing the metal heads in India is also very much possible because when the DNA people decided to let Backstreet Boys headlined the ‘Rock in India’ festival, a certain metal head (who I have the highest respect) hacked into their site and change the name of the festivals to something like ‘Cocks in India’ or ‘gays in India’. Maybe the DNA guys might do this to take revenge on the Indian metal Community.

Don’t worry, the moment I get any updates on Metallica concert tickets for India, I’ll let everyone know… Till then lets hope the DNA guys give us updates on this at the earliest.

Before Anything Else

Before MTV Rock On, before Rani Mukerjee’s blazing lead solo that was played on a bass guitar in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, before the somewhat lame Farhan Akhtar’s Rock On and even way before Bollywod decided to call every reality dance show participant ‘Rock Star ‘, there was Rock Machine, now known as Indus Creed. Hell Yeah, before everything else it was Indus Creed who decided to baptise the Bollywood Infested youths with the sound of the Gods. Though some might argue but we cannot deny the fact that it was Indus Creed who started the fire.

Most kids would say ‘what’s so metal about Indus Creed’ as according to the present Indian Metal scene, a band is not a metal band unless your vocalist growl, Drop D Guitar Tuning and Double Bass Drum. Though Indus Creed might not meet the requirements but their first album ‘Rock 'N ' Roll Renegade’ is among one of the best albums released by an Indian Band. I remember listening all their three albums in my cassette player but never got the chance to see them live, until the Harley Rock Riders finale in New Delhi, which happened on 4th December 2010 at the Hamsadhwani. After watching them playing live, all I can say is ‘the sleeping giant is awake’.

If you have never heard of Indus Creed (Which is almost impossible for an Indian Metal Head, check out their song ‘Top of the Rock’ from the first album. They even have a video for this song. Honestly, the video is kind of funny with all the puffy hairs and ultra-tight jeans. If you take the video away, the song is kick ass. If this doesn’t work, listen to their hit ‘Pretty Child’ from the album ‘the Second Coming’.

The Dumbest Thing ever

It’s almost 108 degree Fahrenheit and sitting between two weirdly figured women in the back seat of a small economy car. It’s really not that comfortable. Why not comfortable? Well the back seats for these cars were built for two people not three and secondly its really tough to sit in the middle and not make any kind of contacts with their body. I just don’t want them to think about me in that way and in such a tight situation, chances of hitting their melons were also very high. Weirdly Figured? I don’t judge people by their looks. Who am I to judge God’s creation? With their big fancy handbags they sure do look weirdly shaped. A mild work out won’t hurt that much though.

In that short 45 minutes ride from my home to my work place, I heard the weirdest thing in my life. There was this sweet lady with one of those weirdly shaped handbags and in that bag a baggage tag that the airline puts when flying was there. While trying my best to squeeze in between them I asked her, so you coming from somewhere, out of politeness. She said no? Why? I showed her the tag. She said, oh that! It’[s from the flight that I took some months back, am keeping that tag just to let people know that I have traveled in airplanes. I almost went crazy thinking why she wants people to known that she travels in airplanes; in fact it was the longest 40 minutes ever. Since I was dying to know why, I asked here. She replied in a very casual way, well am just trying to let people know that I have traveled in airplanes, I can afford and maybe this will add more value to my prestige. I remotely did not see this coming. In my list of things to hear before dying, I just have one more thing left now. The sky opening up and farting!

This was huge. If she really wants prestige and want attention, she should try to loose some of her stuff like: her weight, her fake Gucci glasses and the weirdly high heeled shoes that make sounds like the footsteps of a villain from a 70’s movie and of course her airline tag. Am not a fashion guru, but hey I can make out when a person is wearing a fake designer stuff. To some it may be a gift, but I think this is the most beautiful curse God has given me.

BTW, leaving old airline tags in bags is one of the major reasons why baggages get lost in the airport or getting transferred to a different destination.

I almost forgot this. My big question to the picture below and the horn that he is flashing is, are your freaking aware of what that means. I don't think he even has the slightest idea of what it means and what it stands for.

The Black Crowes! Do you Listen to Em

Do you like the Black Crows? The Black Crows is one of the best Rock N’ Roll band in the world! I don’t like em. I love them. If I were to explain their music in one word, it has to be ‘RIGHT’. Everything is in the right proportion. Nothing is over done everything is in the right potion. The guitar solos are loud and melodic, their bass lines are kick ass and their drums are so groovy and the vocals just pierce through everything. If Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top were stars and if they collide, you would have the Black Crowes.

Unfortunately to fall in love with the Black Crowes, you need to know Rock n Roll and you must have the curve to listen to something intelligent. But it all depends how you start listening to them. Listen to their song ‘She Talks to Angels’; you will curse God for blessing Chris Robinson with such vocal and for being so partial. The songs talks about a woman who lost a child and who now copes with her pain through the use of illegal drugs. They did cover the song ‘Everybody must get stone’, but their version feels more alive than Bob Dylan’s. Even if you are not stoned, this is a tough song not to groove along with. Honestly I love Otis Redding but if I am listening ‘Hard to Handle’, it has to be the Black Crowes version. AM not insulting Otis Redding but the Black Crowes version has more groove and feel.

I don’t want to disgrace the Black Crowes music and their music sounds as groovy no matter what state of mind you are but during my experimental years with soft recreational drug, I came to know that listening to the Black Crowes after smoking up sounds heavenly. There are few bands I used to listen when I get stoned and the Black Crowes, Led Zep’s and of course Pink Floyd. Just for fun, I did experiment with some bands. Just to know whether it’s the weed that makes these bands so amazing or is it their music. During those experiments, I used to throw in a song here and there by pop bands and everytime I felt like killing myself because their music sucks so much. Am sorry I can’t share any names here but these bands took the word ‘SUCKING’ to a whole new level.

I wrote this post because my blog is getting stuffed with post about Metallica in India. I guess this would be a fun way to take a break from the all Metallica playing in India though there are many sleepless nights I spent thinking about how awesome the Metallica concert in India would be. BTW, the Metallica concert tickets for Delhi and Bangalore are still not up for sale and no one has disclosed the ticket price for the Metallica concert in India. Still then, we still have good amount of time for Metallica in India.

(Update: Guys Metallica india tour 2011 tickets are up for sale. Visit http://www.ticketgenie.in/ and book your tickets)

Metallica in India has been confirmed. It’s on their official website, so I guess I can say that it is on. New Delhi it’s on October 28 and for Bangalore it’s on October 30, 2011. The Metallica concert tickets are not yet up for sale. I went to the DNA network as well as to the ticketgenie websites, the place where we are suppose to get Metallica concert tickets for India and all they have is that freaking IPL tickets (BTW, IPL stands for Indian Cricket Premier League or something) and in the DNA networks site, last year’s Rock in India where Backstreet Boys headlined is still up.

Though the tickets are not up, yet from some inside source told me that the tickets would be priced around seven to nine thousands, which is bit expensive but who care right. After all it’s Metallica. That inside source also told me that Metallica along with the Big 4, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer might be coming to India. But that is too tough to believe. The Big 4 in India, that’s impossible but if such thing is going to happen, well bring it on. I am ready for it!

Here are the facts and rumors I have collected till now:
  • Metallica will be playing in Delhi on 28th October 2011 under the F1 Rocks in Leisure Valley, Sector 29, Gurgaon.
  • Metallica Live in Bangalore will be on 30th of October 2011 in Palace Ground
  • Metallica Concert tickets for Delhi and Bangalore will be available in DNA network as well as ticketgenie
  • Rumors have it that the Metallica Ticket price for Delhi and Bangalore will be priced around 7000 to 9000 rupees.
  • Some says Pearl Jam might open for Metallica in India.
  • While some says the Big four of Thrash Metal might play in India. If such things happens, am gonna have a heart attack for sure out of excitement. Though some might hate me for this but I consider Slayer as the only pure Thrash Metal Band in the world.
Wait for my next post on Metallica Live In India which I’ll be posting very soon. On that post, I’ll teach the India Metal Heads how to watch the Metallica Concert in New Delhi for free. Tough to believe…. Well me and two of my buddies watched Last Year’s Great Indian Rock where Meshuggah headlined for free. On my next post, I’ll be giving out free tips on how you can get a Metallica India concert ticket for free or squeeze inside the Metallica Concert venue without paying anything. I know, its bad but do you really think the Metallica guys need more money……… Just think deeply, your guilty conscious will disappear faster than Poonam Pandey after the Cricket World Cup 2011.

Is it Going to Change with his Death

Am have never cared much about the world affairs, politics or current affairs but when the world Trade Center came crushing, it did effect me. That was when I lost my trust for humanity. How can a human being do that to another human being?

The news is full of Osama’s Bin Laden’s death, people all over the world are celebrating. If you ask me how do I feel about it, well I don’t know but I have many unanswered questions. Will his death bring peace to the world? When can the soldiers stationed in Afghanistan go back to their home? Will Al Qaeda react or remain silent. Will Al Qaeda dissolve after this? What will happen to the war torn Afghanistan?
