Megadeth Live in Delhi

Just when you are slowly accepting the fact that there is nothing we can do to the Indian Metal Scene, the most miraculously thing happens. This year we have seen floods of International Metal bands. Started with Lamb of God in Bangalore, Kreator in Bangalore, then it was Korn in Delhi and Bangalore. We have still have three more big bands to catch, Megadeth live In Delhi, who will headline for the Bacardi NH7 Weekender 2012 Delhi  on October 14, and Slayer in Bangalore for Rock in India on October 20th and there is also news of Guns N’ Roses playing in November.

Megadeth has always been in my top 5 favorite metal bands and for some unfortunate event I could not catch when they headlined Rock in India 2008. It is if God has answered my prayer.

Megadeth Live in Delhi is confirmed for October 14. They will be playing in Buddh International Circuit, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh headlining for the Bacardi NH7 Weekender 2012 Delhi. The tickets are out and you can book it in Book my Show or the at the nh7 site.

The ticket price for Megadeth in Delhi is very reasonably priced. Since this is a two day festival, the tickets are priced at Rs 1500 for Day 1 and Rs 2000 for Day two where Megadeth will be playing. If you want to see both the two days, the ticket is priced at Rs 3000. Metal heads under 21 years will just have to pay Rs 1499 for both the days but make sure to bring a valid age proof.

Besides Megadeth, the festival will also feature some of India’s finest Rock and Metal Bands like Indus Creed, Parikama, Pentagram, the Circus, Vir Das'Alien Chutney and Zero on Day 1 (October 13) and Bhayanak Maut, Delhi Metal Project, Scribe, Solstice Coil, Undying Inc and ofcourse Megadeth.

Thank God, the venue for Slayer in Bangalore is finally confirmed. Unlike other concerts, this time it’s not our (Metal Heads) holy land/promised Land ‘Palace Ground’. Rock in India 2012 where Slayer will headline will happen in Bhartiya City, Thanisandra Road. The venue is within Bangalore, not far from the Palace Ground, the airport and the railway station.

The Venue for Slayer in India is confirmed, the tickets for Rock in India are up for sale in TicketGenie.in, but we are still waiting for the opening bands. I am hoping, Kryptos get to open for Slayer in Bangalore.

Korn in Delhi – Review

How was Korn? It was awesome, at least for many but not for me! No, Korn did a kick ass show, couldn’t ask for more but I had a bad food poison just an hour before the show. So you can imagine how I was. I had to spend the entire show running from the crowd to the men’s room. But I did manage to watch three full songs, Freak on Leash, Another Brick in the Wall and Blind, I enjoyed the rest of the show from the men’s room.

Overall it was a great show!!
